Production:

Screen Gems was given clearance to move forward with the title Friends with Benefits; Paramount Pictures dropped its original protest against the film after their director, Ivan Reitman, re-titled his film No Strings Attached. Friends with Benefits began production in July, 2010 in New York and Los Angeles. Complicating matters is the fact that "NBC" is planning a Friends with Benefits sitcom. Screen Gems stated that due to its production schedule, they don’t expect an issue to arise.

‘Thor 2′ Writer Might Make You Worry About

 

 Hello friends, did you like that "Thor" movie? Well, then the good news is, though Kenneth Branagh is leaving the franchise, at least one of the film’s three credited screenwriter will be returning to write the sequel. The bad news: it’s probably the worst of the three credited screenwriters. While the Thor writing team of Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz also worked on the similarly well-regarded X-Men: First Class, it’s solo scriptwriter Don Payne who’s been tasked with writing Thor 2.

Payne’s prior work includes the Uma Thurman comedy My Super Ex-Girlfriend and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, neither of which speak well for his ability to write a superhero movie. If Thor slips in an “It’s HAMMER TIME!” this go, now you know who to blame.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) First Look

MGM, and Sears Portrait Studio, here’s a first look at Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, and Mark Hadlow as brothers Nori, Ori, and Dori. If you’ve read The Hobbit, that probably means something to you. If not, well, this is some guys dressed up like fantasy dwarves.

The Hobbit is an upcoming two-part epic fantasy film directed by Peter Jackson. It is a film adaptation of the 1937 novel of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien and prequel to The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Jackson, director of The Lord of the Rings, returns as director of the film and also serves as producer and co-writer.

The film star Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Richard Armitage, known for playing Lucas North in the BBC drama series Spooks, as Thorin Oakenshield. Several actors from Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings film trilogy will reprise their roles, including Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Christopher Lee, Ian Holm, Elijah Wood, and Orlando Bloom. Additionally, composer Howard Shore, who wrote the score for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, has confirmed his role in both parts of the film project.
The two parts, entitled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again,are being filmed back to back and are currently in production in New Zealand; principal photography began on March 21th, 2011. They are scheduled to be released on December 14th, 2012.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (also known as Sherlock Holmes 2) is an upcoming movie in  2011 action mystery film directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey and Dan Lin. It is a sequel to the 2009 film Sherlock Holmes based on the character of the same name created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The screenplay is by Kieran Mulroney and Michele Mulroney. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, respectively, as the duo join forces to outwit and bring down their most cunning adversary, Professor Moriarty.

G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes(2012) THOR Actor Thor actor Ray Stevenson has been cast as villain

The actor whose roles in Punishes :: War Zone and Thor have already earned him a reserved spot at all future comic convention autograph booths, should he ever need to resort to that–has reportedly been added to G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes in the role of Firefly, a villainous sabotage expert and at least the fifth character who’s supposed to be in a mask most of the time. None of the other actors who played villains in the first film are returning for the sequel, so it’s unclear exactly who Firefly will be sabotaging with, but I’m sure they’ll work something out. When in doubt, throw in the guy who dresses up like an actual snake, right?
Thor actor Ray Stevenson has been cast as villain Firefly in Paramount’s G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes. The action movie, to be directed by Jon M. Chu, begins shooting in Louisiana at the end of summer and is slated for release in August 2012.
Stevenson will appear opposite Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson in the film, which is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, and follows G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a hit in 2009.
Stevenson’s Firefly is a member of the villainous Cobra Organization and is known as a saboteur, ninja master and explosives expert.
Other than Tatum, Cobra Strikes will feature a new cast; in addition to franchise newcomers Johnson and Stevenson, the film will include Adrianne Palicki, Elodie Yung, RZA and D.J. Cotrona. In this summer’s Thor, which has grossed more than $400 million worldwide, Stevenson played Volstagg, one of the Warriors Three. He will next be seen in Summit’s The Three Musketeers in the role of Porthos. The 3D feature is slated for release on October 21. He is finishing production on Jayne Mansfield’s Car, which is being directed by Billy Bob Thorton and also features Kevin Bacon and Robert Duvall.

we learn with the Dark Knight’s teaser poster, which featured a building exploded in just such a way as to evoke a certain superhero logo,Christopher Nolan’s preferred method of Batman teasing comes by way of high-rise demolition. Continuing that trend, his time we have got the Batman logo tucked into the skyline of some collapsing buildings, their crumbled remains raining down upon the viewer because, as anyone who’s seen Inception knows, building crumbles are the delicious streusel topping of the Nolanverse coffee cake.
